Sustainability Controller to Skanska

Gazella is now recruiting a Sustainability Controller to the world’s leading project development and construction company, Skanska. Sustainable impact plays a vital role in Skanska’s business strategy and as a Sustainability Controller within Skanska’s Group Function Finance Operations, you will work in a strategic position that contributes to delivering the group’s sustainability reporting.
Your key responsibilities will include internal and external sustainability reporting according to major international frameworks and regulations, continuously monitoring sustainability performance at group- and business unit levels, preparation of the annual sustainability report, and ensuring the quality and efficiency of sustainability reporting processes and relevant systems. We are looking for a communicative person who thrives to work in a dynamic environment in a role with many points of contact.

Your challenge

As Sustainability Controller at Skanska your core responsibilities will be:

  • Work with internal and external sustainability reporting (disclosures on relevant KPIs, reporting processes/tools, and follow-up of performance as well as continuous improvement and development of the reporting practice).
  • Preparation and disclosure of the sustainability statement in the annual and sustainability report.
  • Ensure quality and efficiency in the Group’s Sustainability reporting and follow-up, aligned to frameworks such as GRI, CSRD/ESRS, GHG protocol, and SASB.
  • On occasion be responsible for leading development projects for best practices.
  • Continuously strive to develop and improve reporting procedures and processes as well as the systems and tools relevant to reporting.
  • Contact with internal stakeholders and networks at both HQ and BU levels.

Experience

We are seeking a candidate with an academic background within a relevant field. You have at least three years of experience within sustainability. You have solid experience in accounting, reporting, budgeting, and controlling as well as thorough knowledge of systems, processes and procedures related to sustainability. Previous experience in an international environment and working in a role at a global corporation is considered a merit. Your lingual skills include fluency in English and Swedish, both written and spoken.

You are self-motivated and self-driven with a positive ’can do’problem solving attitude.
